Disconnect your Verizon Wireless Phone Number

There are a couple of ways you could do this depending on the phone and the situation.

Upgrading to a new phone – If you are upgrading to a new phone and want to deactivate the old one, that will usually happen automatically when you activate the new one. It may look like it’s still getting service, but if you try and make a phone call you’ll get a message that the device has no service.

If you just don’t want to use Verizon or the phone any longer, you should be able to just call Verizon and have them deactivate it.

If the phone has an accessible SIM card you can just remove the SIM card and that will prevent it from connecting to any carrier service.
